This Google Ads case study for a law firm shows how an employment lawyer in Lyon, France, generated $19,800 in fees in 90 days. She spent $2,750 a month on ads, sent every click to a dedicated landing page instead of her homepage, and kept her cost per lead under $77 with one tightly targeted campaign.

A structured Google Ads strategy can turn an invisible law firm into a profitable client engine in three months. Below, you will see how clear positioning, a landing page built to convert, and a rigorous campaign structure got there, from the first diagnosis to scaling the results. Clicks there cost less than in most US markets, so read these numbers as proof of the method, not as US benchmarks.

What she really wanted: stability, not useless website traffic

Referrals were no longer enough

Our client has practiced law since she was 30. She built a solid client base through referrals from friends, family, and repeat clients. But today, word of mouth is no longer enough against tough competition in Lyon.

Now she wants her firm to run steadily and the right clients to call her. She strongly believes in lawyer advertising on Google, but she still remembers the money spent on campaigns that went nowhere.

That is when she heard about our Accelerator.

A talented lawyer with no time for marketing

From our first call, we met a talented, ambitious lawyer, ready to trust Google's machine again. The catch? She spent too much time prospecting, with no real strategy behind it. She even told us that although digital marketing interested her, she could never get a handle on it.

Her three goals

Her goals when she came to us:

  • Attract employees looking for a committed lawyer
  • Build a stable client acquisition funnel that keeps her visible even when she is in court
  • Possibly hand her advertising to a long-term marketing partner (only if it works)

Spoiler: she later trusted us as her firm's outsourced marketing team and signed a one-year contract with us.

Hendy's Accelerator: a method built for lawyers ready to level up

Three months to become visible on Google

Hendy's Accelerator program is a three-month immersion in a digital strategy built for law firms that want personalized support to finally become visible on Google.

We designed it for lawyers, solo or in a firm, who have tried everything: do-it-yourself Google Ads campaigns, SEO articles on their blog, a budget website that brings in nothing. Over those three months, we deliver a real plan, a direction, and a method.

After three months, the promise is clear: more clicks, more qualified calls, and structured, profitable growth, without you having to become an expert. We do it all for you.

Four steps, one team

The program runs in four steps: a tailored strategy, a landing page, the ad campaign, then monitoring and adjustments. Throughout, you work with marketing experts on regular calls.

That is exactly what happened with our employment law client.

Step 1: define a tailored strategy (and stop improvising)

Weeks 1 and 2: laying the foundations

From the first week, the Accelerator onboarding got us into the real work.

The first two weeks lay the foundations. After two scoping calls with Kélian, Hendy's co-founder, we know:

  • who you are,
  • who you want to attract, and
  • how you want to go about it, and on what budget.

What we analyzed

That is what we did with our client. Right away, we:

  • Ran a competitive positioning analysis for Lyon and its suburbs.
  • Studied the words her prospective clients actually use (through Google Autocomplete, forums, and so on).
  • Built her differentiating value proposition: human, combative, specialized.

What we decided

Here is what we kept:

  • Clear positioning: "A caring, strategic lawyer who fights workplace abuse"
  • A target persona: an employee facing harassment, often on sick leave or close to the breaking point
  • An ad budget of $2,750 a month

With that foundation and her ambitions in mind, we moved on to step two.

Step 2: build a landing page that speaks to the right clients

Why the homepage was not converting

Until then, her visitors landed on a general homepage that talked about everything except them. Result: a 3.2% conversion rate.

Marketing glossary: a landing page is a web page built for one specific goal: turning a visitor into a qualified contact. Unlike a website's homepage, it is stripped down, free of distractions, and focused on a single action: booking a consultation, downloading a guide, signing up for a newsletter, and so on.

Yes, she had invested in a beautiful website. But a beautiful website is not the same as a website that converts. So in weeks 3 and 4, we built her a real conversion machine.

What we put on the new landing page

We rethought everything around a dedicated landing page:

  • A clear headline with the right keyword: "Workplace harassment lawyer in Lyon"
  • An emotional, direct hook: "Being harassed at work? You are not alone. Let's take action together."
  • Social proof and expertise: 12 years in practice, 150+ cases, press mentions
  • A repeated call to action: a "Book a consultation" button, a mobile-first click-to-call number, and a simplified contact form

The goal is to land visitors on a page that turns clicks into qualified calls. That does not happen by chance. For the full structure, see our guide to the lawyer landing page.

Step 3: a Google Ads campaign built like a client case file

At Hendy, a Google Ads campaign is not just "create an ad" and cross your fingers. We built hers like a strategic case file, with a rigorous method that we have tested and refined for years.

Here is how we built her campaign:

1. A clear structure and laser targeting

We built the account around a single, tightly segmented campaign:

  • One campaign dedicated to workplace harassment: a large share of her current cases involve it, and she knows many of her prospective clients search for it on Google.

  • 2 ad groups: one for searches like "workplace harassment lawyer Lyon," another for "burnout lawyer" and "wrongful termination lawyer."

  • Ads tested continuously to sharpen the message: no campaign delivers its best results on first instincts alone. We have to test our ideas and see how prospective clients react in the real world.

  • Ad assets (formerly extensions): callouts, sitelinks (free consultation, expertise, and so on), and structured snippets, to strengthen the campaign further.

2. Tight geographic targeting

We limited the ads to high-intent searches within a precise area:

  • Location: Lyon and a 12-mile (20 km) radius, excluding suburbs that were not relevant
  • Exact match and phrase match keywords: no wasted broad searches
  • Ad schedule: 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., to reach working people when employees are actually searching

3. Ads that hit home

Each ad was written as a short pitch, always built around her prospective clients.

On top of that, we added mentions that make all the difference:

  • Availability and responsiveness: the line "Response within 24 hours" reassures people facing harassment at work that a lawyer can help them quickly.

  • Experience: "12 years in practice" always works. Marketing tools help, but experience reassures.

  • Clear calls to action: the "Book a consultation" button keeps the visitor from slipping away and guides them toward a concrete next step.

Step 4: adjustments, scaling, and recurring work

Weeks 5 to 8: scale what works

From week 5, the machine started running. From there, we scale what works and adjust what works less.

That is when we started expanding her campaign:

  • Tests in other nearby suburbs
  • Landing page variants to test different emotional angles
  • Ads segmented by angle (wrongful termination, burnout, and so on)

Week 9: the results

By week 9, the system was running at full speed:

  • A steady flow of qualified leads
  • A cost per lead (CPL) kept under $77
  • Recurring consultations, even without any active effort on her part

Over the 90 days, the campaign generated $19,800 in fees. To lower your own cost per lead, see our guide to law firm lead generation.

Today: three campaigns and weekly monitoring

Today, she is part of Hendy's recurring agency program. We run 3 campaigns in parallel, with weekly monitoring and continuous adjustments as the bidding algorithm learns.

What our client says today

Ambition despite past failures

She came to Hendy full of ambition despite many failed attempts. She never wanted to become a Google Ads expert (and never had the time for it anyway). But like many lawyers, she cared about understanding how things work.

"You are the first team that talked to me like a professional, without useless jargon."

Strong reputation, no visibility

Our team immediately noticed her seriousness and expertise. Above all, she already had plenty of Google reviews, a quality website, and a solid reputation in Lyon. And yet she was invisible on Google.

"You showed me that I had the potential and was just missing the right tools."

At Hendy, we would rather invest in a person and their potential. In three months, we show you it is possible. Then it is up to you to stay on course.

"Now I have a client machine. After seeing results over three months, I thought: why not trust them for the long term? That is how I joined Hendy's agency program. I recommend the program 100%."

Is the program right for you?

If, like our client, you have talent, expertise, a website (or not yet), and clients who love you, but not yet the visibility you deserve, bet on the next 90 days to make the difference.

Who it is for

To avoid false hopes, first check that the program fits you:

  • You are a solo lawyer, or part of a firm, with ambition
  • You believe advertising can raise your visibility
  • You are ready to invest a monthly ad budget on top of our fees (US firms should plan on $2,000 to $4,000 a month to start; see what Google Ads costs for lawyers)
  • You want a stable client acquisition system, not another one-off stunt

What to expect

Here is clearly what you can expect:

  • A 90-day program to win clients through visibility on Google
  • Access to marketing experts who specialize in law firms
  • Marketing tools at your disposal
  • Real changes: a strategic landing page, and Google Ads campaigns set up and optimized for your needs

What the Accelerator is not

Be careful, here is what Hendy's Accelerator is not:

  • It is not a training course (you do not have to learn to do it yourself, even though you will understand every step)
  • It is not theoretical coaching (we roll up our sleeves)
  • It is not a tool you set up on your own (we do it for you)

Frequently asked questions

  • In this case study, the lawyer invested $2,750 a month for 90 days and kept her cost per lead under $77, in a market where clicks cost less than in most of the US. US firms should plan on $2,000 to $4,000 a month in ad budget to start. Keep that budget separate from any agency fees.
