Your future clients do not know you (yet)

On Google, people search for you. On social media, they discover you. Firms that do not exist there leave their future clients to the ones that show up.

Invisible before the need

Your future clients are not searching for you yet. If your firm does not exist in their feed, another lawyer is the one they will know the day the problem arrives.

Posts with no reach

Fewer than 5% of your followers see your posts. And the “boost” buttons spend your budget with no serious targeting, no strategy and no measurement.

Advertising with no follow-up

98% of your website visitors leave without contacting you. Without retargeting, they forget you. With it, your firm stays in front of them until they book a consultation.

Google, Meta or LinkedIn for your law firm?

Each channel has a role. The right choice depends on who your clients are, and when they need you.

Google Ads
Capture existing demand
  • People are already searching: criminal emergency, ongoing dispute, local need
  • Warm contact, ready to book
  • All practice areas, first when the need is immediate
Our Google Ads service →
Meta · Facebook & Instagram
Create demand among consumers
  • Divorce, layoff, accident, consumer dispute: life events can be targeted
  • Cheaper contact, to nurture until the consultation
  • Family, employment, personal injury, immigration, consumer law
LinkedIn
Reach decision makers before the need
  • Executives, HR directors, CFOs: your future business clients are there every day
  • The lawyer in front, not the firm (Thought Leader Ads)
  • Business, employer-side employment, tax, intellectual property

The winning trio: Google captures, social creates and retargets. Firms that combine both sign the most cases.

How much do social ads cost for a lawyer?

What are the rules for lawyer advertising in the US?

Lawyers may advertise in every state since Bates v. State Bar of Arizona (1977). ABA Model Rules 7.1 to 7.3 and your state bar set the limits: nothing false or misleading, no promised results, no live solicitation of prospective clients. Some states, such as Florida and Texas, require filing or specific disclaimers. The same rules apply on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram: here is what that changes for your campaigns.

Bates (1977) · ABA Model Rules 7.1 to 7.3 · State bar rules
What you can do
  • Sponsor ads and posts on your practice areas and your market
  • Put the lawyer, their expertise and their content forward (Thought Leader Ads)
  • Retarget your website visitors with tailored messages
What is prohibited
  • Any guarantee of results or claim that creates unjustified expectations
  • Live solicitation of specific prospective clients (Rule 7.3)
  • Any breach of client confidentiality: no real cases, no identifiable clients without consent
What we guarantee
  • Every creative reviewed against Rules 7.1 and 7.2 and your state's rules before it runs
  • No targeting on sensitive data (health, religion, opinions)
  • Landing pages compliant with your state bar's rules

Sources: Bates v. State Bar of Arizona, 433 U.S. 350 (1977); ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct, Rules 7.1 to 7.3; state bar advertising rules, which vary by state (Florida and Texas, for example, require filing ads with the bar).

In practice, what do we do?

Every Hendy social ads engagement includes these six pillars, no hidden options.

Strategy and targeting

Audiences by practice area and market, retargeting of your website visitors, lookalikes of your best clients. The right message, to the right people, at the right time.

Ad creative included

60% of results come from the creative. Videos, visuals and copy compliant with your state bar's rules, adapted to each format: feed, stories, reels. Produced by us, approved by you.

Thought Leader and Document Ads

On LinkedIn, we put the lawyer forward rather than the firm, and turn your legal notes into lead magnets, up to half the cost of a standard ad.

Native forms and dedicated pages

Pre-filled Meta and LinkedIn forms to capture the contact without friction, and dedicated landing pages when more convincing is needed.

Tracking down to the signed case

Conversion tracking, call tracking and offline import: your signed cases flow back into the platforms, and we optimize on what really matters.

Continuous, transparent optimization

Creative tests every week, budgets adjusted, reports readable in 10 minutes. We talk by text or email, no jargon.

Clarity. Transparency. Excellence.

Your profession is unique. We built a custom process for law firms, with deadlines we announce and keep. Here is how we work for you.

01

Analysis and diagnosis

We start with an in-depth analysis of your firm: your best case types, the audiences available on each channel, your competitors' presence.

You receive a written action plan within 7 days: recommended channels, budget, expected cost per case.

02

3-month trial phase

Trust is earned. Creative produced and campaigns live within 3 weeks, then 3 months to prove we can hit precise targets.

The first contacts arrive within the first weeks; a reliable read of the cost per case takes the full quarter.

03

Long-term partnership

Once the trial phase is validated on both sides, the partnership becomes a custom monthly subscription, with a team of legal marketing experts at your side.

Your ad accounts and your data belong to you, our fees are separate from the budget, and you are free to stop.

Are social ads right for your law firm?

Social advertising rewards firms that play the game. Three honest questions to ask before investing a single dollar.

Do you have material?

Social advertising lives on content: your face, your voice, your client reviews. If you do not want to appear at all, let's talk first: there are formats for that, but the game changes.

Can you call back fast?

A social contact is less mature than a Google search. The firm that calls back within the hour and offers a consultation within 48 hours converts; the others feed their competitors.

Can you stay the course for 3 months?

Algorithms learn and creative gets tested. A budget held for 3 months leaves time to find the message that converts and measure your true cost per case.

Your questions about social ads for lawyers

The questions lawyers ask us most often before starting on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.

What rules apply to lawyer ads on social media?
The same rules as any lawyer advertising. Since Bates v. State Bar of Arizona (1977), lawyers may advertise in every state, and ABA Model Rules 7.1 to 7.3 and your state bar's rules apply on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram: nothing false or misleading, no promised results, no live solicitation of prospective clients, strict client confidentiality. A sponsored post is advertising; a private message to a stranger about their legal problem is a written solicitation. All our creative is reviewed against those rules before it runs.
Facebook or LinkedIn for my firm?
If your clients are individuals (family, employment, personal injury, immigration, consumer law), Meta is your channel. If they are companies and executives (business, employer-side employment, tax, intellectual property), it is LinkedIn. And if the need is urgent and local, start with Google Ads.
How much do social ads cost for a lawyer?
Plan on $2,000 to $3,000 per month in ad budget on Meta, or $4,000 on LinkedIn, plus our management fees, ad creative included. A 3-month trial phase with quantified targets comes before any long-term commitment.
How much does a contact cost?
Typically $25 to $60 on Meta with native lead forms, $100 to $180 on LinkedIn with standard ads, $60 to $100 with Document and Thought Leader Ads, and a few dollars in retargeting. The right metric remains the cost per signed case.
Do social ads replace Google Ads?
No, they complement it. Google captures existing demand; social creates demand among people who are not searching yet, and retargets the 98% of your website visitors who leave without contacting you. Firms that combine both sign the most cases.
How long before we see results?
Creative is produced and campaigns go live within 3 weeks. The first contacts arrive within the first weeks. Since a social contact is less mature than a Google search, a reliable read of the cost per case takes the full quarter.
Who produces the videos and visuals?
We do. 60% of a social campaign's results come from the creative: we produce videos, visuals and copy compliant with your state bar's rules, from your material or by filming with you, and we test them every week.
Do I own the ad accounts?
Yes, always. Your Meta and LinkedIn accounts, your pixels and your data belong to you, and our fees are separate from the ad budget. If we part ways, you keep everything.
Can I stop whenever I want?
Yes. After the 3-month trial phase, the partnership is a monthly subscription with no fixed term. You are free to stop, and the accounts stay yours.
